Please join us for the 2nd annual Do It For Drew Color run on Emerald Isle. We will begin at 7:30am and the route will take you on a scenic tour of the sound side of the island. Along the way you will be dusted with the bright colors that remind us of how bright and happy Drew Hughes always was, and is in our hearts!
It’s about an Emerald Isle teenage boy, Drew Hughes, whose life was cut way too short, but instead of just grieving this terrible loss, our community chooses to remember and honor his life by living our own lives the way he always did. When you “Do it for Drew,” you live your life to the fullest; you laugh, have fun, and maybe act a little mischievous, too. You go all out, full throttle, on the things you are passionate about! You are kind to everyone. You are there for your friends and family and above all you stand up for what is right.
Packet pick up will be at the Emerald Club on Friday, August 26 from 3-7pm. The race will begin at 7:30am on Saturday, August 27. Be sure to stick around after the race for awards, food truck vendors, music and more.
Parking will be along the Hwy 58 corridor. Stollers are welcome, no pets please. Be sure to wear clothing that can be 'stained' with the colored powder. If you do not wish to take part in the color, please raise your hand at each color station, with a peace sign and they will try not to get any powder on you.
This is a family friendly event that is great for all ages! We look forward to seeing you on race day!
