Awesome super fast course, perfect for setting a PR. We start and finisih at the AMC Barrett Commons 24 in Kennesaw, GA. We'll have loads of goodies, tech shirts, and awards to the top 3 overall & top 3 masters, as well as the top 3 in the regular age groups 10 & Under - 75+ for all 3 races (5K/10K/15K).

| Brief Description | It's time to say "Good Bye" to summer, and we're doing it in the best way we know how...with a 5K, 10K, & 15K. This event is FREE to all First Responders... Police, Fireman, EMT, etc. New for this year is a 15K Distance. Come out to the AMC Theatre in Kennesaw for an 8:00 am start. All three distances are out & backs and pretty flat & fast! Great upscale tech shirts, Awards to the top 3 overalls & top 3 masters overall as well as the top 3 in each of the normal age groups 10 & Under - 75+ for all 3 races. |
| Event Beneficiary...The Gold Shield Foundation: | Originally our purpose was that of aiding the surviving spouses and children of law enforcement officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty, the Foundation’s mission has grown as we have diligently listened to the needs from within the fire and police communities in which we serve. Today, the Gold Shield Foundation works to provide aid for law enforcement officers, firefighters, their spouses and children, whose lives have been altered as a result of line of duty deaths and injuries. |
| Entry Fee & Registration: | Early Bird registration through Aug. 5th: 5K...$25, 10K...$30, 15K...$35. Regular Registration through Aug. 30: 5K...$30, 10K...$35, & 15K...$40. Race Day registrations are welcome for an additional $5, and shirts will be available while supplies last. |
| Race Day Schedule: | 7:00 am...Packet Pickup & race day registration. |

| Course & Timing: | All 3 courses start and finish in the Parking Lot of AMC Theatres in Kennesaw. All the routes fairly flat & fast, and are an out and back, run entirely on the roadway. We'll be chiping timing everyone for the start & finish. |
| Awards, Goodies, & Festival: | All participants registered by 8/28 are guaranteed a moisture wicking race shirt (child sizes may be cotton). Women's cuts are also available! Awards in both races to the top 3 Overall male & Femal, Top 3 Overall Masters (40+) as well as the top 3 in each age group. (10 & under - 75+ for the 5K; 19 & under - 75+ for the 10K) |
| Finisher Awards: | All participants will receive a custom finisher award. |
| Five Star Championships & Turkey Trot: | All participants will automatically qualify for FREE entry into the Five Star Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the championships to be held in Dec., 2016. The number of spots available is based on the total registration...see event website for details. |

With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds. |
