We are celebrating the 21st year of the 14.2 Miles Manhattan Training Run. The run starts at 220th Street & Broadway (upper Manhattan) and finishes near Battery Park (lower Manhattan) with sights of New York City.
The course is the length of Manhattan as runners will travel through many different neighborhoods while experiencing many of New York City’s landmarks (Statue of liberty, Freedom Tower Grant’s Tomb, George Washington Bridge, Riverside Church, and Fireman’s – Memorial at 100th Street).
Prior to the day of the run: All registered participants will be able to pick up your bib number and packet on Friday and Saturday before the run. All will be notified through email of the pickup location a week before.
On the day of the run: Boarding at 5:15am there will be buses leaving from the North End of Battery Park (in front of 17 Battery Place) in lower Manhattan to transport runners to the start (220th Street & Broadway in upper Manhattan) at 6:00am SHARP at a fee of $5.00.
It is recommended that participants DO NOT park your car near the start. There will not be any buses going back in that direction at the finish of the run. There are garages in the neighborhood of the finish line. If there are any belongings to check-in, please leave them on the bus. Upon completion of the run, your belongings will be at the finish line for you to retrieve.
If any participants are running with bags, if you have a clear one, please use it as a safety precaution.
