The course is through downtown Farmingdale, finishing in front of Farmingdale Village Hall. The kids fun run is 8:30 am, the women's races starts at 9:15 am and the mens race at 9:40 am. This is one of Companions in Courage Foundation key events for the year. Pat LaFontaine will personally be on hand, as will Jim Douglas of MAX103 Radio at a post race fundraiser at Croxley's Ale House on Main Street. Race participants get a free lunch buffet, soft drinks, a great raffle! Your entry fee gets you race entry, a great race shirt, a great goodie bag, free post race fundraiser brunch (cash bar and drinks) and opportunity to take part in a great raffle to benefit CIC! We hope you can join us for the 12th year of this great even, its become a Labor Day weekend tradition in Farmingdale to support a great cause!

Race details:
Packet pickup and onsite registration will be at the Runners Edge at 242 Main Street in Farmingdale on Friday September 2 from 1 pm - 5 pm, and September 3 from 7 am - 8:30 am. Onsite registration is $25.
Porto potties will be avaialbe at both the Runners Edge and near the starting line. We ask all participants respect the property of local home owners in the community.
1/4 mile kids fun run
The day starts with the 1/4 kids fun run which starts at 8:30 am promptly. All kids who finish the course, which starts at the finish line in front of Farmingdale Village Hall, runs up Main Street to Conklin Street and back. All finishers get a medal and a coupon for free ice cream from McDonalds in Farmingdale!
1 mile race heats
The 1 mile course starts in front of the entrance to Bethpage State Park. It is about a 1/2 mile walk from the Runners Edge. We strongly recommend you leave enough time to make your way to the start, leave at at 20 minutes to make your way up to the start to get set. Please understand that the start times maybe dependent on the Long Island Rail Road schedules.
The women's heat will start at approximately 9:15 am. The men's heat will start at approximately 9:40 am.
Prize money
For top 3 male and female winners in open and masters categories - 1st place $100, 2nd place $75, 3rd place $50.
Special cash bonus for breaking 4 minutes
For the first male breaking 4:00 minutes and the first female breaking 4:35 - $250 cash bonus.
Awards ceremony
Takes place at the Village Gazebo next to Farmingdale Village Hall from approximately 10 am - 11 am.
Post race fundraiser at Croxley's
There will also be a post race fundraiser at Croxley Ale House on Main Street, across from the LIRR station. It will start at approximately 11 am. A buffet brunch will be free to all race participants, $10 for non-participants. MAX103 FM Radio will be on hand to do a live remote, Jim Douglas will be our MC and Pat LaFontaine will be personally on hand. There will also be a great raffle to support Companions in Courage.
