• 10K Run:- Run 6.2 Miles

Race date and time

The Castle Run takes place on Labor Day (Monday September 3rd) at 9:00 A.M. for the 2 mile and 9:15 for the 10k. The race begins on Glamorgan Street by historic Glamorgan Castle next door to Alliance High School and finishes with a charge up the front lawn to the castle.

Registration

Cost is $20 per person for pre-registered runners or $25 on race day. Online registration closes at 1:00 P.M. the day before the race. Discounted registrations are available for up to 6 immediate family members living under the same roof but must be done by paper application with a separate form for each participant. Race day registration and packet pickup opens at 7:30 at Alliance High School and closes at 8:45.

Categories

There are certified courses for the 2 mile and 10k with separate categories for walkers and runners each with their own awards.

2 Mile Run: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (first, second and third places in each age group)
2 Mile Walk: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (first place only in each age group)
10K Run: 14 & under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (first, second and third places in each age group)
10K Walk: 14 & under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (first place only in each age group)

Kids fun run

For the small ones 8 and under there is a free kids' fun run beginning at 8:30 on the lawn in front of the castle. Distances vary from 30 meters for the tiny ones to 100 meters for the bigger ones with each age group running separately.
