Childhood obesity has emerged as a serious threat to the health of Georgia’s youth.
Recent studies found that youth in Georgia are at greater risk of overweight than youth in other parts of the nation. Georgia ranks third overall for states with the highest rates of overweight and obese youth.
By participating in the Suwanee Fest 5k/10k you will help to fight childhood obesity. Georgia Fitness will take a portion of the proceeds from the Suwanee Fest 5k/10k to provide after school programs and summer camps for local kids who would not normally be able to attend.
So why not be a Super Heroe for your local community and help fight Childhood Obesity.
Costume are encouraged.
