5th ANNUAL 9/11 MEMORIAL XC 5K and FUN RUN...

• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 1 Mile Fun Run:- Run 1 Mile

Come join the City of Winder Fire Department for the 4th Annual 9/11 Memorial XC 5K and Fun Run. This event will help raise money for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. The XC 5K & Fun Run start/finish will take place in beautiful Fort Yargo State Park at 210 South Broad Street Winder Ga 30680. The 5K will be along the roadway as well as through the trails of Fort Yargo. The Fun Run will be along the roadway.

Come join the fun and help us raise money for the Burn Foundation.

Event details and schedule

Race day registration and Packet Pickup: Will begin at 4:30PM

Fun Run: Starts at 5:30PM

5K: Starts at 6PM

Course Details: The 5K will be run on some paved surfaces but will be primarily on trails through the park.  Keep in mind this is a CROSS COUNTRY EVENT!

Awards: Awards will be given to the Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female and 3 deep in standard age groups beginning with 10 and under to 75 and over. Awards will also be given to the Overall Male and Female Firefighter!

Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com www.athlinks.com and www.coolrunning.com.

Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2016 Black Bag Race Series and the Clover Glove Series.

Shirts and Goodies: Those who register by 9/5/16 will be guaranteed a Dri Fit shirt.  Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size.  There will be plenty of refreshments.  We will also have Fire Trucks on display!

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
