Description

The Defeat of Jesse James Days (DJJD) 15K Run & 5 K Run/Walk is hosted by Northfield SHARES, our Community Foundation, as a fund raising activity to help support the Foundation's operations. Northfield SHARES seeks to sustain and tranform the Northfield community by advancing philanthropy, inspiring volunteerism and promoting collaborative leadership.

The 5K Run/Walk is a moderate layout course through the streets of Northfield. The 15K Run is more challenging with several tough hills going through the farm country east of town. Both runs are USATF certified and finish at the original First National Bank building where the townspeople of Northfield,in 1876,stopped a bank robbery by the notorious James-Younger gang.
