Our 5K through the picturesque James Baird State Park, past the sprawling golf course, and the hundreds of enthusiastic runners and walkers will motivate you to complete this fun inspiring run. There will be a kids fun run just before the main event, so bring the whole family!

Super Heroes come in all different types: Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman...but this year, our third annual Super Hero 5K and Family Fun Day will also honor our super heroes in uniform: first responders, fire fighters, law enforcement, EMT, and members of our military. After your run, enjoy live music, delicious food trucks, terrific local vendors, exciting bounce houses, and fun kids’ activities…plus a whole lot more! Register today to secure your spot!

Sparrow’s Nest of the Hudson Valley provides two meals, once a week, to the families of caregivers diagnosed with cancer. Caregivers are defined as legal guardians of children, under the age of 18, who are currently living in the caregiver’s home. Caregivers diagnosed with any cancer that requires chemo, radiation or surgery qualify. All recipients must live within a 20 mile radius of the charity’s health department-approved kitchen in Hopewell Junction. Visit our website for more information. www.sparrowsnestcharity.org

Event details and schedule

Pick up your race packet on Friday, September 10th at the Sparrow's Nest office (942 Route 376, Suite 215-216, Wappingers Falls, in the Summerlin Plaza on the 2nd floor) betwen noon and 7:00pm, or you may pick it up the morning of the race.

Race-day registration and check-in opens at 7:30am, and our race will go off at 9:00am. The kids fun run starts at 8:30am. Our event is rain or shine.
