Description

People celebrate mid-life in unique ways — jump out of an airplane, buy a sports car or have plastic surgery.  For my milestone birthday, I wanted to do something meaningful and give back to society. I decided to kick it up a notch and paid for a charity slot, benefiting the Scott Rigsby Foundation, in the 2016 Augusta Half IRONMAN. I have purchased my race entry, so all donations go straight to the Foundation.  Patriot Day Fun Run will help raise funds and honor the service and sacrifice of the American military. Walkers are encouraged to participate and the course will not be timed. 

 
The Scott Rigsby Foundation provides grants to veterans with disabilities to help begin reintegration process as they transition home from military services; and improves access to Prosthetic and Orthotic care and resources, while supporting programs to advance prosthetic technology for wounded military personnel returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. We hope you will consider joining us to help make a difference for those Americans who gave a great deal to defend our freedom.
