Join us on Saturday, September 17 at 8AM for the first annual Get Active for Afterschool 5K Run/Walk at WB&A Trail in Glenn Dale, MD. Race begins at 9AM. This event benefits In Reach’s afterschool programs for children in kindergarten through 12th grades attending higher poverty and underserved public schools in Prince George’s County, MD. In Reach is a 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit organization established to eradicate poverty though education by preparing students for college, work and life.
The Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis (WB&A) Trail runs along the site of the former Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis Railroad. The timed race will start and finish at Glenn Dale Community Center near where the trail meets State Route 193/Glenn Dale Boulevard. The course is paved and links the suburbs with the park. It’s a beautiful trail. We also have a fun run for kids 12 and under.
If you live out of town or just can’t make it to the race, register for our VIRTUAL RACE by completing the registration. On race day, run the race near your home or athletic field and send us a picture along with your time and we will post it and send you a participation medal. Order a T-shirt and it will be sent to you. You will be running for a great cause!
No refunds.
