Welcome to the inaugural Black and Gold 5K!  The purpose of the event is to serve as a fundraiser for the Alamogordo Tiger Cross Country team.  The fun run will showcase to the community what Alamogordo Cross Country is all about.  Participants and athletes will run in the same race along the base of the Sacramento Mountains.  The race will begin and end at Griggs Field.  There are 3 categories for the event: 5K run, 5K walk, and 1 Mile childrens' run.  In addition, the first 100 people to register will receive a free t-shirt.  All finishers will receive a commemorative participation medal.  All entries to the childrens' race will receive a pair of sunglasses.

Event details and schedule

In-person registration will occur from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM the day of the event.  Also, this is when you will receive your t-shirt as well.  The first event of the day will be the Future State Champs 1-Mile Run at 8 AM.  Upon conclusion of this run, we will begin the 5K.  The course will begin in the parking lot of the Griggs Sports Complex.  We will run west on Fairgrounds Rd then turn north on Florida.  Turn east on Scenic Dr before returning back to the complex via Fairgrounds Rd.  We look forward to seeing you at our event.
