 Bimbo Bakeries is hosting its 2nd Annual Global race on September 25, 2016.

Scottsdale is one of four lucky cities in the U.S. that will be participating in this global event. Located in the beautiful Sonoran Desert, the city of Scottsdale is bordered by Phoenix to the west and the McDowell Mountains to the east. Scottsdale Sports Complex, a 71-acre facility designed to be a state of the art sports complex, will play host to this years Global Energy race in Arizona.

This is Scottsdale's first time hosting the race, and it is for everyone: competitive runners, casual walkers, families, friends, and everyday joggers looking to come out and participate in Bimbo's Healthy active lifestyle initiative. The event will include music, motivational speakers, scenic routes, a cool down recovery zone, refueling snacks, games for all ages, Osito and much more!

10K Individual:

$20.00 early registration (June 1st- June 30th)

$30.00 open registration (July 1st- August 31st)

3K Individual:

$10.00 early registration (June 1st- June 30th)

$15.00 open registration (July 1st- August 31st)

$20.00 open registration (September 1st- September 23rd)

3K Group/Team: (Min 4-5 members)

Packet Pick-up:

Packet pick-up will be held in advance of the race but location is TBD.  

Course Info:

The 10K is a USATF certified course. Chip timing will be used for this distance.

Global Energy will start out by runnning a loop around the expansive sports complex and venture out onto some of the most charming suburban streets you'll find in the area. Both 10K and 3K races have breathtaking views throughout the entire course. From mountain ranges stretching along the entire skyline, to some of the most luxurious golf courses in the United States and endless miles of desert life, this location is truly a picture perfect backdrop for a race. 

Parking:

Parking will be available onsite but is first come first serve. Once the complex is filled, runners will be encouraged to use one of the other lots in the area.

Registration:

All participants will receive:

• Global Energy Kappa T-shirt
• Sling bag

• 10K runners will receive a custom finisher's medal upon completion
  
• 3K participants will receive a custom finishers pin upon completion

* Awards will be given to the top (3) male and female 10K finishers 

10K FIRST PLACE PRIZING 

The following awards will be made available:

     One (1) First Place Men’s and one (1) First Place Women’s Award:

Trip for winner and one (1) guest to participate in the 2017 Global Energy Race of his/her choice in one of the following cities: Beijing, Panamá, Lima, Tegucigalpa, Monterrey, Managua, Santiago, Mexico City, Bogotá, Asunción, Belo Horizonte, San Salvador, Madrid, Guatemala, Guadalajara, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Philadelphia, San José, Montevideo, or Long Beach, USA.

Trip includes round-trip air transportation in regular economy class departing from the winner´s closest international airport to the destination chosen, 3-star hotel accommodations (two nights and three days) in a standard room with 2 double beds (double occupancy); and breakfast, lunch and dinner while on trip (exact location and cost of each meal to be determined by Bimbo Bakeries USA and its subsidiaries, in their sole discretion).
