Cheers! It's time to start prepping for The Red Hare 5K to be held on Sept. 24 right at the Red Hare Brewing Company. You'll be off and running at 8:30 am on a great course through Marietta, and when you get back you'll start your celebration with live music and Free beer (for those 21 & over, Non-alchaholic beverages will be available for anyone unable to drink beer). We'll be hosting all of the post race festivities out of our beer garden, where the 1st 500 finishers will receive a custom Red Hare Finisher beer mug, overall awards to the M/F winners, Overall M/F Master's awards, and the top 3 in all the usual 5 year age groups 10 & under - 75+.

| Event Beneficiary: | Proceeds from the event will be going to Trees Atlanta; which is a nationally recognized non-profit citizens’ group that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving and educating. Since 1985, Trees Atlanta has planted and distributed more than 100,000 trees. Trees Atlanta has an active volunteer corps of 4,500 citizens. | A Note about the host | Red Hare Brewing Company, the only microbrewery in Marietta, GA, currently distributes their brands throughout Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and the panhandle of Florida. Red Hare brews four year-round beers: Gangway IPA, Long Day Lager, Cotton Tail Pale Ale and Watership Brown in addition to over 12 seasonal or small batch releases per year. Red Hare was the first craft brewery in Georgia to can their beer and the world’s first brewery to use a more eco-friendly can, the evercan, made with guaranteed 90% recycled aluminum. The brewery tasting room is open to the public for tours and tastings Wednesdays through Fridays from 5:30-7:30 and Saturdays from 2-6 pm. | Event Schedule: | Friday…??? Early Packet Pickup at the Brewery (stay and go for a tour and save $2) Saturday 7:30 am…Check in opens. 8:30 am…Race starts. |
| Entry Fee & Registration: | Individual entry is $30, $35 on race week, and $40 at the event. Participants that are registered by 9/18 are guaranteed a great race shirt in their size (women's sizes to). Registrations after that will receive a shirt while supplies last. |
| Course & Timing: | We're just outside of Atlanta in beautiful Marietta, and there's not much that anyone can call flat & fast. The course is a single loop and we'll be chip timing. |
| Event Cap: | It's important that we're able to park everyone, have adequate finisher glasses, and most importantly…enough beer. The event is capped at 600 participants. We can't really imagine how this won't sell out months ahead of time…so register early to guarantee your spot. |
| Awards & Goodies: | All finishers will receive a custom Red Hare Pint Glass and 36oz of Red Hare beer samples, and the first hundred or so finishers will also get to try delicious specialty cask beers! We have awards for overall M/F, overall masters M/F, and the top 3 in all the regular age groups 10 & Under through 75+. Awesome technical shirts guaranteed to all participants registered by 9/18, afterwards they're available while supplies last. All awards will be given out based on Gun Time. |
| Five Star Turkey Trot & 5K Championships: | All participants will automatically qualify for FREE entry into the Five Star Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. see event website for details. Top finishers will also qualify for entry into the Five Star 5K/10K Championships to be held in December. |
| Event Courtesy Policy | Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds. |
