The 5th annual Run for the Light House provides scenic half-marathon and 5K routes along the trails of Quiet Waters Park and through the beautiful Chesapeake Bay-front community of Hillsmere Shores. This race event is unlike any other in the greater Annapolis area!
*Returning in 2016 due to popular demand - 1.25 Mile Walk!
All proceeds from the Run for the Light House will benefit the Light House in Annapolis, a well-known public charity working to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty. The race is organized by the Friends of the Light House, Inc., also a public charity, and timing and race management are provided by Blue Point Race Management.
5k is on a Certified USATF course. Certified by Bluepoint Race Management, Inc.

The race is open to participants of various levels of fitness and physical abilities as long as you are able to complete the event in under 3.5 hours.
Rules
All participants in the Half Marathon must be at least 12 years old to register, and all participants in the 5K Jogging Joe Shafron Memorial Run must be at least 6 years old to register. Participants in the Half Marathon must be able to complete the course in 3.5 hours. No headphones. Runners only, no wheels. No pets. Timing chips must be worn as directed to be officially scored.

There is no mailed race packet option. Packets include Bib number & safety pins, timing chip (no return necessary), race shirt & a goodie bag. Race packets will be available for pick-up on race morning. Limited, last minute registration is also available at 7am on race day, space permitting.
Weather
Since when has a little rain stopped a group of dedicated runners? The Annapolis Run for the Light House race will be run rain or shine. Unfortunately, no reschedule date is available if cancellation occurs due to extreme weather conditions.
Race Results
Run faster! Race results will be posted at Blue Point timing's website at www.bluepointtiming.com shortly after the race.
Awards & Post-Race Party
Awards will be provided to the top male and female finishers for 8 age categories for the Half Marathon, and the top 3 male and female finishers for the 5K. Race results, live music, food & beverages and sponsor booths are featured at the post-race celebration at the finish line.
Parking
All participants must park in Quiet Waters Park. Parking is available immediately adjacent to the Blue Heron pavilion and also adjacent to the Visitor’s center. Additional parking can be found throughout the park. Participants can enter the park free of charge by showing the park ranger your race packet at the entrance.
Volunteers

The Half Marathon and 5K will start and finish at the same location adjacent to the Blue Heron Pavilion.
The 5K race is a certified course by USA Track and Field. The Half Marathon course is being evaluated for certification by USA Track and Field.
