What is E.A.G.L.E.?

With its beginning in 1985, E.A.G.L.E. Homeschool was formed by a handful of parents who shared a common belief. They believed that children are a heritage and a gift from God and should be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Hence the name E.A.G.L.E. was chosen, which stands for Education Administered in a Godly Living Environment. We are a non-profit, volunteer organization that exists to encourage and assist families who are committed to the education of their children at home.

E.A.G.L.E. Homeschool offers sports to our members at the Junior Varsity and the Varsity Level. For boys, we haveflag football and basketball and we have volleyball for the girls.

E.A.G.L.E. is one of 10 private Christian Schools/Organizations that make up the local Tri-State Christian Conference. It is within this conference that we fellowship and compete. The winners of our conference tournaments also go on   to compete at a state level within the Independent Christian School Association.

The money raised from this event, with your help, will pay for our sports supplies and/or as part of a love offering that we give to churches or other Christian organizations that allow us to use their facilities for our practices and games, to which we are truly grateful.

TIME

6:45 TO 7:45am – Race day registration and packet pick up

8:00am - 5K begins

1 mile color fun run/walk to follow 5K

LOCATION

Tishomingo County Fairgrounds

Hwy 72 to Iuka, south on Hwy 25 (toward Fulton) 1^st right on CR 187 (Fairgrounds RD.) approximately 0.8miles on the left

COURSE

5K – course begins near the fairgrounds and makes a loop through scenic Woodall Estates. USATF certified – MS08002MS

1 mile – there and back course USATF certified – MS08001MS

ENTRY FEE

5K - $20 if registered by Sept. 17………. $25 thereafter and on race day

1 mile - $15 if registered by Sept. 17… $20 thereafter and on race day

T-SHIRTS

All participants will receive a T-shirt; only pre-registered runners are guaranteed the correct size on race day

AWARDS

5K – Overall male and female…. Overall male and female masters

1^st     2^nd   3^rd in each group: 0-14, 15-24, 25-29, 30-34, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and up

1 mile- 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd in each group
