Trinity Miles for Missions...

We invite everyone to join us once again for fun and fitness - from the beginner to the competitive athlete.  This will be the second time for this fundraising event as we travel "miles for missions" together in the Anderson community; in the vicinity of Linley Park and North Main Street.

Proceeds will benefit Costa Rica Missions, a Trinity United Methodist Church outreach ministry.  A mission team will GO! to Santa Rosa de Pocosol, CR in January 2017; serving in partnership with the Methodist Rural Center.  We will lend support to completion of a kitchen & dining hall and several renovation projects, offer Vacation Bible School (in Spanish), and ministries with women, children and youth in Santa Rosa and the nearby rural neighborhoods.

Our event is powered by Hebrews 12:1-2  (NKJV)  The Race of Faith ~ Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith…

Event details and schedule

Event Start Times: 1 Mile start time is 8:30 a.m.  5K start time is 9:00 a.m.  Both events will be professionally timed.  

Early packet pick-up will be on Friday, SEP 23 from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity UMC in Asbury Hall in the main parking lot.  EVENT DAY activities begin at 7:00 a.m. with packet pick-up and on-site registration [by cash, check or credit card] until 10 minutes before the start of each event.

Awards ceremony will begin at 10:30 on the Trinity lawn.  1 Mile awards will be presented to the overall 1st place male and female finishers.

5K awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in the following age categories:  10 & under, 11-20,  21-30,  31-40,  41-50,  51-60, 61 & above.

The course is a mostly flat asphalt surface.  See route map in photo gallery.  In the interest of safety -- animals, headphones or bicycles will not be permitted.  Post-event refreshments will be available.  Course time limit is 2 hours.  Event will take place rain or shine.  No refunds.

Parking is available in the shopping center on Main Street across from the church, and limited parking in the two Trinity parking lots, which are subject to the road closures.
