10th Annual 2016 Cornerstone Community Challenge 

The Community Challenge 5K Run/walk will benefit the Shepherd’s Rest Ministries, Inc.; a local woman’s shelter offering shelter and aid to victims of domestic violence. Shepherd's Rest was established in June of 1997 and has obtained full 501©3 tax-exempt status. Shepherd's Rest offers victims a 24-hour crisis line where clients can receive domestic violence counsel, direction, and resource referrals. Services include 24-hour emergency shelter, emergency transportation, food, clothing, resource referrals, in-house activities, and Legal Advocacy. Shepherd's Rest also works to provide domestic violence community awareness, education, and training.

The Cornerstone Community Challenge 5K is a fun, healthy event for all ages and abilities.  The race will begin and end in the Poplar Square Center and will in-part follow the beautiful Silver Comet Trail.
