the John Wilt Foundation raises funds to support the USO, Fisher House and a $1500 yearly renewable scholarship for an OTHS graduating senior.

Location: Veterans’ Monument, 737 E. Wesley Drive, O’Fallon, IL 62269 (approx 1⁄2 block North and West of O’Fallon YMCA)
Parking: O’Fallon Public Safety Building or adjacent streets
Times: 5K Run starts at 8:00 am. 5K Walk immediately following Race Day Registration starts at 7:00 am
Cost: $20 early registration, $25 on race day

John Wilt graduated from O'Fallon Township High School in 1996. His interests included music, sports, math, science, literature, international relations and history. At O'Fallon HS, John was a member of the Honor Society, the concert and marching bands, the speech team, and Model UN. He also played varsity football, participated in track and was active in his church.
After graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Physics, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the United States Marine Corps. John died May 8th, 2002 in an aircraft accident while undergoing flight officer training at NAS Pensacola, Florida and was posthumously promoted to 1st Lt in August 2008. The John Wilt Foundation supports the USO, Fisher House, and a $1,500 yearly, renewable scholarship for an OTHS graduating senior.

Parking is available at the Community Building behing the monument or on surrounding streets. Be sure to arrive 30 minutes prior to race time.
