You’ve seen them everywhere. The 5K with a colorful twist. Join us as we “Color the Creek” with this one of a kind family fun run! Run (or walk) the 5K or 1K courses along the banks of Cypress Creek as we kick off the CreekFest 2015 festival. The 5K and 1K runs will take place in Harris County Precinct 4’s Collins Park and Meyer Park on paved and unpaved trails.
Participants will be covered with color at each kilometer and are invited to help “Color the Creek” at the color party after finishing the run. Each registered 5K runner will receive a white t-shirt (to collect all that fun color) and a packet of powdered dye. The color is safe, cornstarch-based dye that’s even gluten-free…though we don’t recommend eating it! Color Powder will be optional for those runners who prefer not to be decorated. Your bib will be marked with an ‘X’.
5K Color the Creek (Individual) – $40 (includes t-shirt & color powder packet)
5K Color the Creek (Team Registration) – $30/individual; minimum 10 members (includes t-shirt & color powder packet)
1K Family Fun Run – $20/adult, $10/12 and under. Stroller riders are FREE.

Please note: Stroller riders do not receive a t-shirt; shirts will be available to purchase on-site.
Race registration can be completed before the race online at ColortheCreek.Eventbrite.com. Participants may also register the morning of the race at the check-in/registration table, beginning at 7am.
There is no advance race packet pick-up. This event will feature ‘Virtual Race Bags” where runners can access their virtual bag online. Optional bags of goodies will be available for young runners upon request. Race packets and t-shirts will be available the morning of the event upon check-in. Race check-in begins at 7:00am on the west side of the Centrum building, along Yorkshire Drive. See the festival map for check-in and race start locations.
