_ 2016 Aniridia 5K, 1 Mile Family Walk Walk & Virtual 5K

 - Welcome to the 4th Annual Aniridia 5k Fun Run and 1 Mile Family Walk (Saturday Sept. 17, 2016). Proceeds from the event will benefit the Vision For Tomorrow Foundation, a 501c3 not for profit organization that supports research for treatment and cures for children living with Aniridia, a rare and blinding eye condition, in which our daughter Haley was diagnosed at birth.

The 5K and 1 mile walk will begin at the foot of the Fountain Street Steps, leading to the Manayunk ToePath, in which Runners and Walkers will begin their journey along the Historic Manayunk Towpath.

New for 2016 we are offering a fun remote VIRTUAL 5K option for those outside of the Philly area that want to support the VIsion For Tomorrow Foundation, simply signup and RUN or WALK wherever you are bewtween Sept 1 - 17th 2016. Virtual racing can be done on a treadmill at home or at the gym, at the beach, with friends, alone, in the evening, or at the break of dawn. It's your choice.

Plenty of free and ample parking at the Septa Ivy Ridge Train Station (Umbria St. & Parker Ave.) or at the Manayunk Self Storage (116 Fountain St. Phila, PA 19127) which is accessed via Flat Rock Rd. off of Main St.)

Each registered/paid participant will receive a T-Shirt, ARC Can Coozy, Race-Bib and post race refeshments before and after the race.
