The 2nd Annual Emma Marie Aronson 5K Run/1 Mile Walk will be held at Waterfall Park in Independence on October 22, 2016 at 8:00am. Emma Marie Aronson was only 17 years old when her heart stopped beating. She passed away from Lymphocytic Myocarditis. There were no warning signs of sickness or anything the week prior to her passing. She was a very athletic girl up until the moment she took her last breath. Emma was an "all or nothing" teen! She was on fire for God and leading other teens to Christ was a passion of hers. Her mission was serving others and connecting emotionally with people young or old. She was a fierce competitor on the basketball court for Lee's Summit High School. She lived and loved everyday as if it were her last! Her "big heart" for God and other people is ultimately what took her life on June 5th, 2015.
