The 40th Allen Park 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, after a free 1-mile fun run.

This race is fast and flat through the neighborhood streets of Allen Park.

**New this year: To commemorate our 40th anniversary, we are offering medals to all participants in the 5K and 10K race!**

Pint glasses will be awarded three deep to age group winners in the 5K and 10K. Plaques will be awarded to the overall men's and women's winners as well as overall Masters men's and women's winners for both the 5K and 10K.

Men's and women's tech shirts will be available to all pre-registered participants. (We cannot guarantee shirts for day-of registrants.)

Post-race refreshments include our famous "breakfast pizza" and Agemy Market fruits.

NO SHIRT FOR ONE MILE FUN RUN 

10K and 5K Age groups are: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59,60-64, 65-69, 70 & Up. Awards to Overall Male & Female, and Overall Masters Male & Female Age group awards to top 3 in each age group. Special award for overall male and female 18 & Under in the 5K ONLY.

Prices: $25 before July 15th, $35 from July 15th to August 5th. $40 day of race at Allen Park Presbyterian Church. Race day Registration will open at 7:00 AM.

Race proceeds benefit the Tony Mifsud News-Herald Scholarship, which offers a pair of $1,000 scholarships to two outstanding high school student athletes in the area.

PACKET PICKUP: Packet pickup will be offered 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the Allen Park Civic Center, 15800 White Ave., Allen Park; and 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4 at RunDetroit, 441 W. Canfield, Detroit.

DAY-OF PACKET PICKUP: We will offer race-day packet pickup 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church.
