In June 2013 a group of 19 from St. Benedict Parish traveled to Machakos, Kenya to meet the parish sponsored students and their peers. The warm, generous welcoming that greeted and embraced them created lifelong friendships.
During their stay, they were able to see the passion for athletics among the boys. After returning to the United States, the Parish and group began brainstorming the next step for fundraising ideas - a 5K for Kalama!
As we run this morning, the boys in Kenya will be running in solidarity! Please join us in this incredible mission to unite across two continents!
