Inaugural Birmingham, AL Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k
This 5k Fun Run/Walk will educate, support, and raise community awareness about people living with ostomies including urostomy, ileostomy, and colostomy. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)
$15 registration fee includes a technical wicking t-shirt. Kids' activities are free for kids 12 and under (optional t-shirt may be purchased for $10).

Location: Railroad Park, 1600 1st Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233
T-shirt pick up begins in the park at 9:00 a.m.
Parking is available in Parking Lot D on 18th Street and First Avenue South at a cost of $2. Free parking available along the outer perimeters of the Park along First Avenue South (please refrain from parking in the spaces allotted for various local businesses unless you are frequenting those businesses - - violators may be subject to tickets or towing).
Online Registration ends October 5, 2016 but on-site registration for the event is available
Volunteers are needed from 7:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Fun Run Course:
We will be using the loop at Railroad Park begining at the 17th Street Plaza. There will be signs to indicate the path and there will be a total of four laps to reach the distance of 5K.
