K9 Police & Pumpkin Run...

The Professional Law Enforcement Association Foundation is just over a year old, but has already had a strong impact on the community.  Through donations and fundraisers we are proving successful in living up to our mission, which is to provide support with training costs and equipment to law enforcement professionals, including k9 officers in need.

Our current iniative, and the goal of this 5k is to fundraise enough money to supply the local Police Departments with new bulletproof vests for their k9 officers!  Police Departments can spend upwards of $20,000 to train a k9 officer and handler, but sometimes don't have enough in the budget to protect these officers.  This is where we step in to help protect them!

The K9 Police & Pumpkin Run 5K will be the second 5K that the PLEA Foundation has run and we are excited to have everyone join us. The 1 mile Family Fun Walk and Family Fun Fest is a brand new event for the PLEA Foundation, and we are very eager to have a great day that the whole family will enjoy! Please come out and support law enforcement officers, they need it more now than ever.

Event details and schedule

Hello!  Thank you for looking into The PLEA Foundation's K9 Police & Pumpkin Run 5K & Family Fun Fest. The 5K will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 8th, 2016.  We will be available for day-of registration and advance registration at 8:30 am at the Kiwanis Pavilion at the top of the foot bridge near the pond.

The event will be ran on the Paint Creek Trail, which is paved.  The event will be timed, so you will need to stop by the registration table to get all of the information that you will need.  BE SURE TO BRING YOUR STATE ID WITH YOU TO THE REGISTRATION.  There is a giant parking lot right next to the pond, feel free to park anywhere you'd like.  We will be in the Kiwanis Pavilion which is right over the foot bridge to the right of the big pond.

Feel free to wear whatever color's you'd like for the event, but PLEA's color's are Blue and Gold... Wear those colors to show support!
