Description
On Saturday, October 8th, 2016, Campbell University will be holding the 7th Annual Cardiac 5k and One Mile Fun Run in celebration of American Pharmacists Month. Runners will race around campus and participate in a mini health-fair sponsored by Campbell’s own pharmacy and health sciences students where they can learn information about personal medication records, heart healthy nutrition, the influenza vaccine, and more! Several free health screenings such as blood pressure and blood glucose readings will be available to participants and family members to help them better gauge and manage their health.  All of the proceeds from the race will go towards the American Heart Association. College students and faculty can use the code "CAMELS" to receive a $2.50 discount on the 5K (code valid until September 10th).

7:45am: Check-in Begins

8:00am: Grab a pre-race snack and join us for our race warm up! Our Health Fair is also open!

8:30am: Cardiac 5K Begins

8:45am: One Mile Fun Run Begins

Plenty of parking is available next to the Irwin-Belk track behind the Convocation Center.  The course will begin on the track, runners will race around campus and will end back on the track. Water and snacks will be provided as runners finish the race.
