5K EVENT SUMMARY

The Harvest Moon Run is a 3.1 mile cross country race, providing breathtaking views of farms, fields, and orchards while overlooking the Quarry Golf Course.  Runners will climb to the second highest point in Stark County and will run through apple orchards, woods, and rolling hills.  2 water stops provided.

 10K EVENT SUMMARY

Our 10k event provides a challenging experience for our most competitive runners and entails 2 laps around our challenging cross country course.

1 MILE TRAIL WALK

A scenic 1 mile trail walk has been established as a non-competitive and fun walk for those who prefer to take in the breathtaking sights that Varian Orchards has to offer.  The 1 mile trail walk is not chip timed.

RUNNERS AND WALKERS WILL RECEIVE:

• A 2016 Harvest Moon Run long-sleeved logo t-shirt

• A post race food voucher and two drink coupons redeemable for beer, cider, or lemonade

• A Participation goodie bag 

KID’S PLAY AREA AND FREE FUN RUN

A special kid’s play area has been created with adult chaperones to watch the children while you run or walk the trail course.  Children 6 & under are invited to join our free kid’s run.  All children participating in the kid’s run will receive a special goodie bag.  Registration on the website for the Kid's Fun Run is appreciated, but not required.

5k and 10k AWARDS

5k Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group (12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+).  All runners will be electronically chip timed with results uploaded to www.runtoyouracing.com.

10k Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top male and top female finisher in each age group (12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+).  All runners will be electronically chip timed with results uploaded to www.runtoyouracing.com.

SPECTATORS

Family and friends are encouraged to come out to root on their favorite runners.  Food and drink will be available for spectators for a nominal fee of $5.00 for sandwich platters and drink specials including 16 ounce beers for just $3.00.
