Description

Pick it. Lug it. Whoop it up!

Adore the gourd? So do we!

On Sunday, October 16, 2016, bring the family to Mt. Holiday for two fun ways to kick up your heels.

Runners and walkers can participate in two fun filled events including:

Jack-o'-Lope 5K (3.1 mi) run/walk is a timed event that will follow several of the trails up and around Mt. Holiday.  This will be a hilly trail run that will challenge even the most fit participants.

The 2K Great Pumpkin Lug is where pumpkins and their people have one goal: crossing the finish line ... unsquashed.  It is s untimed, for all ages, with prizes for best costume, heaviest lug, and more!

The 2K Lug rolls through Mt. Holiday's woodsy terrain, taking costumed luggers of all ages through four fun obstacles.

There is a catch though: Everybody big and small has to carry a pumpkin! Before the dash begins, pick your special pumpkin from our patch. We will weigh it and mark it. If you're really brave, pick two! Your arms will love you for it.

The goal? Finish the lug, squash intact!

All proceeds from the event will support Mt. Holiday, the Midwest's only non-profit 501c3 ski/zip line/mountain biking/frisbee golf area and other local non-profits that support kids.
