The Human Race...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

Are you tired of violence in our communities?  Do you think that people from diverse backgrounds can and should interact peacefully? We do. The second annual 10K Human Race takes place in beautiful Point Defiance Park, starting at Owen Beach.  A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Sea Mar Community Health Center (http://www.seamar.org/static_pages/donate.php).  Together we can make our communities stronger and end violence. So brush off those sneaks, sign up here, and join us for a day of fun and community togetherness on October 15th.  We hope to see you there!

Event details and schedule

You may pick up your race packets on Friday, October 14th, location TBA or Saturday, October 15th at Owen Beach from 6:30-8am.  A course map will be provided in the information you will receive at packet pickup and the trail will be marked with chalk on race day. Bring photo IDs and signed waivers, unless you signed the online waiver with Active.com.

TIMELINE:

Now-October 14th: open registration

Race Day, October 15th: 

6-8:30 am Packet pickup and check-in at Owen Beach

8:30-9 am Warm up 

9am-9:30am: Walk/Rim commencement with staged start

9:40am-11:30am  Walk/Run

11:30am-1pm Lunch and awards ceremony at Owen Beach

Bring running clothes and a light jacket.  This is Washington, so wear something water proof!  Bring your race number and coupon for lunch afterwards.  Of course, also bring your friends!
