The Inaugural Bowman Field Four Miler is sure to become your favorite fun-run in Louisville with a unique course around Bowman Field and the Seneca Park Loop. It all starts on the tarmac behind the historic terminal building. Runners take your marks. The Bowman Field Balloon Race launches at 8:15 sharp, just yards away from our start line. When the hare balloon reaches 200’, a bag is dropped from its basket and IT’S TIME TO GO! From there, the course includes a manageable mixture of challenges and recovery flats and at four miles, you’ll feel great about enjoying a PANCAKE breakfast when you finish, which is included in your registration. Prizes awarded to winners in each age category as well as the top three finishers overall. PLUS: your registration includes a beverage and entry to the Bowman Field Aviation Heritage Festival, where you’ll have unprecedented access to historical planes from the 1920’s-1960’s and their pilots. Runners have reentry privileges for race day.
