Run through Chiricahua National Monument and enjoy the “wonderland of rocks” and stacked hoodoos. Course is a single track trail run with breathtaking views (not just because of the elevation changes!) Both distances start 1 mile from the entrance of Chiricahua National Monument along Hwy 191. As soon as runners enter the park, they hit the trail system. If participating in the full 30K distance, runners will see the entire perimeter of trails (lollipop course) as they reach the summit at Masai Point and then make their way back down towards the finish line.
The 13K runners will enjoy a beautiful out and back route and showcases the ranchland and historic buildings inside the monument.
A one of a kind endurance run in Southeastern Arizona and is limited to 200 runners on this Inaugural event!
This is a cupless event! You must bring your own water system and each aid station will be stocked with water and gatorade and snacks...but no cups! Please plan accordingly!
There will be a lot of action at the start/finish. Music, food and vendors. Local craft beer and local wine makers have been invited!
Parking is extremely limited at the monument and surrounding areas. We have arranged for bus pick-up in town to shuttle to and from the race. If you choose to drive yourself, please carpool and also note that parking could be several miles from the startline and there is a chance there would not be enough parking. Bus riding is strongly encouraged!
Buses will leave Holiday Inn Express at 6:30am.
Camping is permitted inside the park for $15/night or the town of Willcox (Holiday Inn Express) is a 40 minute drive. Reservations for camping can be made at nps.gov.
