Description

Are you ready to experience the feeling of helping others while getting in a workout at the same time?  The COBCARES 5K run and 1 mile walk, and roll with your wheelchair is the event for you!  Our run, walk, and roll is great for all ages and for the novice and seasoned runner, with a special philantropic flare.  Come join us!

The race starts and finishes at McShea Student Center at DeSales University in Center Valley.  There will be signage and volunteers to greet you as you drive onto the campus.  The 5K run or 1 mile walk and roll is on rolling macadam through the beautiful DeSales campus!  There is plenty of room along the route for family and friends to cheer participants.  Runners will pass yard signs with the pictures of the four local individuals you will be supporting.

It’s not just a run it’s a way to let friends know that you care:

COB (Community Outreach Benefit) is an outreach program of St. John’s UCC, Coopersburg, which began in 2001.  To date we have raised over $685,000 for 50 families in need of assistance with devastating medical expenses. This year we have four deserving recipients from the Southern Lehigh, Hellertown and Quakertown areas.

You will be supporting Karen Parke of Richlandtown, Steve Sarko, Hellertown; Deborah Dawson, Quakertown and Finn Miller, Coopersburg.

Alpha Phi Omega will be providing us with approximately 50 volunteers to help.

Carli Ziegler, one of our past recipients will be accompaning our wheelchair participants.
