WE WALK TO SAVE LIVES, TO HONOR LOVED ONES AND TO RAISE FUNDS TO HELP PREVENT SUICIDE… Suicide is a national health problem that takes an enormous toll on family, friends, co-workers, and the entire community. 

In 2013, 41,149 people across our nation died by suicide;  Thousands more attempt each year.  90% of all those who take their life each year have a diagnosable mental health issue.  60% of those suffer with depression, and 50 - 75 receive no treatment or are under treated.  Every population is at risk.  But the stigma of seeking help for a mental health issue keeps people from finding supportive resources. 

The World Health Organization states that Depression is the #1 Disability in the World.  And if we don't change how we are supporting, treating, behaving around it, Depression will be come the 2nd leading cause of death by 2020.

Event Schedule and Time:

Event Day Registration:  Oct. 29, 2016, @ Victoria Community Regional Park:  If the race has started you may still register to run or walk to help prevent suicide.   If you registered online please pick up your registration package and t-shirt at the event.  Children 7 – 12 years old--Free, but no t-shirt. Please Make Your Steps Count!   Lace up your sneakers and run or walk to support of Kevin's Cause & Suicide Prevention.

7:30 am – 9:15 – Event Day Registration

9:20 – 9:30 - Warm-up

9:35 – Song

9:40 – Prepare for race

9:50 – Race begins
