Heritage Games

October 29, 2016 * 7AM-12PM

Fitness enthusiasts from across the High Desert will partake in fun, challenging competitions built around an Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) format and various personal fitness discipline zones. Hundreds of fitness and outdoor adventure enthusiasts on all levels will converge on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the High Desert Event Center located in Victorville, CA for the Think Pink 5K & 2K Obstacle Race. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and 100% of proceeds of this race will go to the fight against Breast Cancer.  Many other exciting races of varying distances will also take place with no charge for entry. The events race program has been designed for deep community involvement with races for school districts, local municipalities, business to business and anti obesity youth empowerment. Its all part of the 3rd Annual Heritage Games presented by Heritage Lifefit the fitness and health group of Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group. All athletes should arrive 1hr before Race Start Time.

 

  Race 1: In It To THIN It Challenge (7:30am)- This race is designed as a challenge between High Desert High Schools who have a Heritage-Sponsored IITTI Program (5K).*

 Race 2: Business 2 Business Challenge (7:45am)- A team competition between local companies and businesses (including Heritage personnel) for community bragging rights (2K).*

 Race 3:Battle of the Schools (8:00am)- Schools throughout the High Desert compete to see who brings their fitness “A” games and walks away victorious (2K).*

Race 4: Special Olympics (8:15am)- The High Desert Chapter of Special Olympics is invited to bring all participants, friends and families for a Fun Run while bringing awareness to their life-changing programs (1K).

 Race 5:RetrOlympics (8:30am)- A race designed to celebrate senior fitness, adding a fun competitive element to the day (1K).

Race 6: Mayor’s Cup (8:45am)- Find out who the fittest city is in the High Desert as each city mayor is challenged to bring a competitive team to promote a commitment to fitness in their communities (2K).*

Race 7:Think Pink Open Division (9:00am)- A serious open competitive event where all proceeds are donated to a chosen cancer-related agency while providing awareness about breast cancer (5K).

 Race 8: Think Pink Race for Breast Cancer (9:15am)- A recreational race that brings awareness to breast cancer while raising funds for this life-saving cause (2K).

 Race 9: HIT Fit Challenge (9:30am)- The highlight race of the day where local gyms and clubs are challenged to form teams and try to beat the Operation Hostile Takeover team from Heritage (5K).*

 Race 10: Cal Games- Clash of the Titans (10:00am)- A special super race designed to test the skills of the area’s best and fittest athletes.

Note: All races marked with an * are designed to be team challenges. To be eligible to win the team prize, a team must have 10 team members participating in the race.
