The 2016 race will be sanctioned by USA Track and Field, and will feature chip timing.  Starting and finishing in front of the court house, this 5000 meter run takes you on a virtual tour of all tipton has to offer.

The Tipton County Pork Festival 5K Run/Walk is a 3.1 Mile Run and 2.5 Mile Walk on Saturday Sept 9th 2016. The race starts downtown, on the northside of the County Court, on Jackson Street, at 1:30 pm, and will finish downtown at the Courthouse Square in front of many fans.  The Tipton County Pork Festival 5K Run/Walk includes a 2.5K distance youth race, for those kiddos up to 17 years old on race day.

All runners will receive a finisher’s medal when crossing the finish, and a pork chop dinner in the Pork Court!  All adult and youth participants, who register by Monday, September 5th at 11:59 P.M., will receive a tech shirt with the event logo, printed by Tipton’s Apple Group.

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will take place in Tipton on Friday, September 9, 2016, from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM. Please make all efforts to pick up your packet at this time. An email with packet pickup directions/location will be sent when plans for this are finalized.

Race Day: We will be onsite by 12:00am for packet and chip pickup, as well as race day registration. To ensure we can start the race on time, please plan to be onsite at least an hour prior to race to pick up your timing chip. Please note, we may not be able to allow registrations within 45 minutes of the race starting, or check in within 30 minutes of the race start. Check-in will be at the blue tent near the finish line.

Parking: Plan on parking at the school, and taking the shuttle to the festival.  There is a cost associated with the shuttle, bring a few dollars cash with you.  The school has plenty of parking in the main parking lot.

Packet pickup for the 2015 Tipton Pork Fest 5K will occur on Friday, September 9, from 5:30PM-7:30PM at the Tipton Pork Festival Pork Court location. Come pick up your race packet, and have dinner! In order to provide you with the best possible race experience on race day, we ask you make every effort to pick up your packet at this point in time.

FAQ:

Q: I live out of town and can not make it to packet pickup, what should I do?

A: You can have someone pick up your packet, if possible. if you are not able to do this, please plan on arriving between 12:30am-1:15pm on race day to pick up your packet.

Q: I’m a volunteer, do I need to come to packet pickup?

A: If you are a volunteer, while you do not need to come to packet pickup, please feel free to come pick up your shirt if you would like.

Q: Can I have someone pick up my packet for me?

A: Yes, please give them a copy of your confirmation email.

Q: Is it possible to register someone at packet pickup?

A: Yes, though we would not be able to guarantee them a shirt. They can come see us after the awards ceremony to see if there are leftover shirts.
