Al's Run - 6th Annual...

• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

The scholarship fund (ACSF) and memorial run was established in 2011.  Over $75K in scholarships have been awarded to students playing lacrosse in college over the past 5 years.  In October 2016 the ACSF will benefit the AACC Foundation c/o the ACSF.  The AACC Foundation will award one scholarship to a worthy student.  He/She will be selected by a team of AACC adminstrators based on a list of criteria.  Each AACC recipient can only be a one time receiver of this scholarship. 

Al's Run, the only fundraiser for the ACSF, and is being re-established ithis October 2016. It is now a 5K and the Al's Run location has moved to the campus of Anne Arundel Community College (just minutes from Al's hometown of Annapolis). 

The memorial run is a family focused, timed event which awards first place participants in male/female age catagories.  It continues to be supported by the surrounding communities and it is an exciting experience that will help keep the spirit of Al - who also ran in road races and for fitness.  Al's Run is an established event that will keep replenishing the ACSF each year so it can continue to award derserving students.

Event details and schedule

6th Annual Al's Run - In honor of the late Al Cantello Jr., who served his community as a youth lacrosse coach and mentor to many throughout the Maryland community.  All donations go to the AACC Foundation c/o the ACSF.  Each year  one scholarship will be awarded to one worthy college lacrosse player.  This recipient will be selected by a team of adminstrators.

This is a professionally timed 5K Fundraiser for the Al Cantello Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Walkers welcome.  $25  per person registration fee when purchased prior to race date.

7:30 am on site registration opens; 8:30 am race start

Silent Auction will occur during race festivities;  Run/walk to close by 10:30 am.

Day of per person registration cost increases to $30 per person.  T-shirt size and color can not be guaranteed.  ON SITE REGISTRATION MUST BE PAID WITH CASH OR CHECK (No credit cards accepted on site).  Anyone under the age of 18 and signing up on site must be signed off by a legal gaurdian in order to participate.
