Description
Please join us for the only race in beautiful West University Place. Come dressed as your favorite ghoul or goblin. Our competitive 5k course is flat and fast, chip timed and USATF certified. The Kids Fun Run is not timed and is 1 mile long.
Event details and schedule
| Registration: | 5K - Early registration - $25 until September 29, $27 until October 26, $30 at registration or race day. Kids Fun Run $20 until September 29, $22 until October 26, $25 at registration or race day. Early registrants (before September 30) are guaranteed a t-shirt. |
| Course Information: | We are a USATF 5K Certified Course. The course is flat and fast, taking place on the beautiful tree-lined streets of West University Place with only 6 turns. |
| Beneficiary: | All proceeds benefit the City of West U's Parks and Recreation Department. |
| Awards: | Overall Male and Female and Masters Male and Female will receive awards. Top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. We will also award prizes for the best costumes (adult and child). |

| Refund and Transfer Policy: | There are no refunds or transfers. |
| Bikes, scooters, etc.: | No bikes, scooters, rollerblades or skateboards permitted in either event. Strollers are permitted in the 1 mile fun run. |
| Parking: | Parking in West U is extremely limited. If you can, please plan to walk or ride your bike to the race. If you do drive, please follow volunteer instructions as to where to park and make sure to park legally without blocking driveways. The West U police will likely be out ticketing and we would hate for you to have more than sore legs as a souvenir of the race. |
| Chip Timing: | The 5k race will be chip timed using the ChronoTrack Electronic timing system. |
| Costume Contest: | There will be a costume contest at 9:15. Awards will be given for costumes in the following categories: Best Female, Best Male, Best Couple and Best Child. |
| Photos: | Your Sporting Image will be taking race photographs. Photos may be viewed at www.yoursportingimage.com following the race. |
