Reece Wright-Conklin Hero Scholarships is a non-profit, tax exempt organization dedicated to Lawrence youth and helping unde...rprivileged children take part in athletics. Reece was born and raised in Lawrence, Ks. He was involved in many youth athletics and excelled in wrestling at the high school and college level. Reece mentored and inspired Lawrence wrestlers to reach their fullest potential.


Your participation in the RWC 5K Superhero Walk/Run will help in two ways:

1) It will provide a scholarship to an outstanding Lawrence High School athlete to help them pursue their college education. A board will select a local athlete to receive the scholarship.

2) The Sunflower Kids Wrestling Club will receive funds to provide support to children who may need assistance with purchasing equipment needed and covering travel expenses during their season.


We are inviting you to participate in this family friendly event that is taking place September 24, 2016. The race will be located at the Southwest Lawrence Trafficway Trail, just north of the Youth Sports Complex. A superhero theme has been selected to help everyone be the superhero’s they are. We are very excited and look forward to seeing everyone!
