5K RUN FOR THE ANIMALS

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office 5K RUN FOR THE ANIMALS is a great way to show your love and support of our 4-legged friends and get healthy at the same time!  Join fellow runners and walkers at the Charlotte Sports Park located on 776 in Port Charlotte, Florida forThe Charlotte County Sheriff's Office 5K RUN /WALKFOR THE ANIMALS and a 1-mile family pet walk. Proceeds will be presented to local shelters and rescue organizations to assist them with shelter, food, medical care and love for animals that are abandoned, homeless, abused, and surrendered until they find their fur-ever home.

The race will be chip timed. Check –in at 7:00 AM and the run will begin at 8:00 AM.

FREE T-SHIRTS to the first 300 registered! 

Following the 5K run/walk and family pet walk  medals will be presented and then mosey on across the street to the Charlotte County Fairgrounds and listen to music, K-9 demonstrations, food, and much more at the Pet Rescue Festival as we spend the day with our friends and beloved animals needing foster and fur-ever homes. If it is pet related it will be there! The Pet Rescue Festival runs from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. For more information on the festival go to petrescuefestival.org
