Get a festive start to your Thanksgiving morning and help raise funds to support childhood cancer research at the Chester County Turkey Trot 5k (Cure4Cam).
The 15th Annual Chester County Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2016 at Downingtown West High School. The event is a 5k race/walk, a 1 mile walk, and a kids fun run. It is a very festive way to start the holiday morning!! Every year we get a fantastic turnout - we had about 3,000 registered runners in 2015 and we expect the numbers to grow again this year!
The course is flat and incredibly FAST! The course starts at Downingtown West High School and finishes inside of Kottmeyer Stadium. GreenLayer technical running shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,000 registered runners!
In addition to supporting the Downingtown West Cross Country team, proceeds of the race will benefit Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation. Information on Cure4Cam is available at www.Cure4Cam.org. Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by family and friends in memory of Cameron Evans, a teammate and friend who lost his battle with leukemia in May 2012. Cameron was a gifted athlete and a compassionate, positive, and inspiring young man. His perseverance and spirit touched all of us.
