The out and back Half-Marathon & 5K course starts and ends 1.3 miles north of Point Mugu beach (not to be confused with Point Magu State Park).
From the starting line, the course then proceeds from west to east entirely along the Pacific Coast Highway to the half-way turnaround just north of Neptune’s Net restaurant, where you will likely see dolphins as you make your way down the highway. After making the turn, runners head back to the finish line. The course has no significant hills and is virtually flat (with a few very gentle rolling hills).
Along the way, the race route offers some of California’s coastal most spectacular views, while just a few miles past the turnaround point you will find beautiful beachfront homes, many of which are owned by A-list Hollywood’s celebrities.
The Half Marathon course is USATF-certified and participants will have 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete their race, i.e. 16 minutes-per-mile pace for the Half-Marathon.
Don’t miss out, come and run with us on November 6th, 2016!
