Description
Join us for the XTERRA Poinsett 22K and 4K run on November 6th!
 
The XTERRA Poinsett takes place within the confines of Poinsett State Park (near Sumter, SC) and will feature 100% off-road running with some challenging terrain including water crossings and over 800 feet of climbing!  
 
The 22K will feature both male and female categories in the "open" category as well as a "40+" category.  Racers of all ages willl also have the opportunity to earn points toward the 2016 XTERRA national championship in Ogden, Utah (points are available and awarded based on 5 year incremented age groups)!  The 4K race will be an "open" category for both men and women. 
 
All racers who register by September 30th, 2016 will are guaranteed a race T-shirt and all 22K finishers will receive finisher medals.  Awards will also be presented to the top three finishers in each of the 22K categories.

XTERRA Poinsett is one of only three XTERRA trail races in the South Carolina.  We look forward to seeing you at the race!

Event details and schedule

Day-of registration will open at 7:00AM on Sunday, November 6th and incurs and additional $10 fee.  Day of registration will close 15 minutes prior to the race start.  All races will start at 9:00AM.

Parking is available at the park and it is recommended that you bring what you think you will need for the race (e.g. hydration, nutrition, bug spray, sunscreen etc).  There will be (at a minimum) three aid stations on the 22K course and they will be well stocked with Gatorade, water, Power Bars, and snacks. 

The podium ceremony will occur immediately following the 22K.
