Enjoy the lush scenery and fragrant woods as you race along a broad trail through one of Virginia’s most picturesque National Parks, Prince William Forest Park. This year’s event will bring together runners and walkers to raise money for pediatric cancer research and to provide support services for local families.
CHECK-IN:
You can check in up to 1 hour prior to your event start time at our sign-in table.
Please note: There will no onsite registration at this event (the park does not allow it).
START TIMES:
8:00 AM – 5K – Runners
9:15 AM – Kids – 1 Mile Fun Run
9:45 AM – 5K – Walkers
TIMING:
We will have a clock for participants to see their times as they cross the finish line, however this will not be a timed event.
The course is a 5K out and back packed gravel trail through the park. The trail is mostly flat with no steep elevations (89 m MIN ELEV – 116 m MAX ELEV). All-terrain strollers will be fine for those wanting to bring small children.
From Washington, D.C. and points north:
Take I-95 south to exit 150-B (VA Route 619/Joplin Road). The park entrance is the second right.
From Fredericksburg and points south:
Take I-95 north to exit 150 (VA Route 619/Joplin Road). Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp and continue on VA Route 619 West approximately 1/4 mile to the park entrance.
From Manassas, VA and points west:
Take Route 234 east to I-95 south. Travel one exit to exit 150-B (VA Route 619/Joplin Road). The park entrance is the second right.
We recommend parking at the Visitor’s Center parking lot and utilizing our shuttle service to get to Turkey Run Campground our race start location. Our shuttles will be running on a continual basis throughout our event (7 AM – Noon).
Parking is limited in the Turkey Run Campground (race site) – first come first serve. From park entrance go approximately ½ mile turn left on Scenic Dr. Go 2 miles turn left onto Turkey Run Rd. (Road will split stay right to stay on Turkey Run Rd). Follow sign to Turkey Run Ridge Campground.
