Color Me a Miracle 5K...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a nationwide youth-led philanthropy that benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Seattle University's Dance Marathon (SUDM) is a student-led nonprofit based on the Seattle University campus. In accordance with the Children’s Miracle Network organization (http://dancemarathon.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/), our chapter raises money annually for Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Uncompensated Care Fund and Strong Against Cancer campaign. 

Our efforts throughout the year culminate into a 16-hour celebration held in February, where we celebrate our student fundraisers and Miracle Families (patients and families who have or are currently receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s). Attendees challenge themselves to participate for the entire 16 hours in order to demonstrate solidarity with the patients at Children's who can't take a break from their illnesses.

On October 16, 2016, we are holding our second annual "Color Me a Miracle 5k". This run/walk is open to both Seattle University Affiliates and to the public, and it is a chance for participants to gather as a community, have fun, and meet our Miracle Children. Our Miracle Children will be running around painting all of the participants with SUDM colors! We welcome people of all ages and abilities to sign up. 

After the 5k portion is over, we welcome all our participants and volunteers to join us in the Union Green or Student Center (weather permitting) for brunch, music, crafts, and much more!

Event details and schedule

Registration starts at 9 AM in the Student Center Hearth (first floor of the Student Center)

Parking is free for all participants, with the following guidelines:

• Once you register, we will email you an e-permit that you will need to print out and place on your dashboard. We will also have a few physical permits printed out if you have forgotten to bring yours. 
• This permit is valid at any parking lot on campus

After registration, the run/walk will begin at 10 AM at the Bellarmine Hall turn-around. Don't forget to wear white, or any clothing you do not mind getting paint on! You'll be painted on by our miracle families (blue paint at start, and orange when you cross the finish). Feel free to bring friends & family, as participants can also register the day of for $20.
