• Walk. Trot. Run. EAT! 5k:- Run 3.1 Miles

Support the local squadron of the Civil Air Patrol while running or walking a traditional 5k Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.  Fun race giveaways and race bib with race entry fee.  Pies for top 3 finishers men & women.  

Race starts at 9 am.  Registration and bib pick-up 8-9 am at Trailhead building.  

If you register as a family at HYRCAP5K.zapevent.com, parents are $15, any of their own children are $10 ea.  

If by some miracle/disaster, there are groomed ski trails on Thanksgiving Day, feel free to ski the east/west loop instead!!

Race will begin at OO Trailhead and head east on County Rd OO for 1.5 miles, turn around, and return to OO Trailhead.

From the Hwy's 63 and 77 intersection in Hayward, go 9.4 miles north on Hwy 63 to County OO, turn right (east) onto County OO and drive 3.4 miles to the trailhead.

If driving from the east on Hwy 77, turn right on County OO, drive 1.5 miles, stay on County OO as it makes a sharp left, drive another mile to the trailhead.
