The third annual Footprints for the Future 5K winds through the heart of Sandy Springs near City Walk.  Beginning and ending in the parking lot of Lake Forest ES the NEW race course has mitigated the long hill up Lake Forrest Drive (See course map).  The event also includes a pre-race warm-up led by fitness professionals, live entertainment including a DJ, vendor booths and a 40-yard Dash for our school-aged runners.  And it’s a certified Peachtree Qualifier, for those of you who are competitive.

Also new this year is a 40-yard Dash for students 18 and under.  The race heats will be leveled by school level - HS, MS, and ES (two divisions). 

All proceeds from the race benefit the Sandy Springs Education Force.  SSEF inspires and supports all Sandy Springs public school students to graduate and pursue productive lives beyond high school by providing educational and enrichment programs.  learn more about SSEF

Registration

Adult (13 and over):
$25 before October 12th
$30 before November 2nd
$35 after November 2nd

Child (12 and under):
$10 before October 12th
$12 before November 2nd
$15 after November 2nd

40-yard Dash (18 and under)
$10 flat fee

•  All 5K registrants will receive a long sleeved dri-balance race t-shirt.
  
• 40-yard Dash participants are encouraged to wear their school spirit wear.
  

• In order to guarantee each race participant a T-shirt, registration and payment must be received by October 19th.

What to Expect

• Race numbers will not be mailed.
• Bring photo ID and/or printed race registration confirmation to check in.
• Chip timing and professional finish line provide by Georgia Multisports Productions
• Awards will be given in standard age group categories.
• Entertainment throughout the morning
• SWAG bags filled with giveaways from our sponsors and community supporters.
