Chesapeake Public Charter School, in cooperation with Historic St. Mary's City, is proud to present the 6th Annual Running Crab 5K. This is a beautiful trail run through a wooded area along the scenic St. Mary's River in southern Maryland. The run will begin at 8 am on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in St. Mary's City, Maryland.  This event is open to runners and walkers, however no strollers please. 

 ***All proceeds from the race will benefit the Chespeake Public Charter School.***

• REGISTRATION:  $35/person.  Online registration will close November 10, 2016.  Day of race registration will be available.

               ***CPCS faculty, students and their families may register through the school for a reduced rate.***

• RACE SHIRT:  Please register by October 20th to ensure shirt size.  Registrations received after this date cannot be guaranteed a race shirt.
• COURSE DETAILS: start and finish will be near the Visitors Center.
• FINISHERS MEDALS:  Everyone completing the course prior to course clearance (9:30am) will receive a finishers medal.
• PRIZES:  Awards will be given to first place finishers, male and female, in 10 year age groups. Follow us on Facebook, we will add prizes as our sponsor list continues to grow.

07:00 - 07:45     Race Day Registration and Race Packet Pick-up

08:00                  Race Time (to avoid congestion on the trail, the race start will be staged)

09:00 - 09:30     Awards and post race refershments. Course clearance is 09:30 firm.  We must vacate the area before it opens to the public and for this reason we must strictly adhere to our course clearance time.

Route 5 south through St. Mary's City.  Turn right on Rosecroft Road and then right on Hogaboom Lane.   The street address of the Visitor Center is 18751 Hogaboom Lane, St. Mary’s City and its coordinates are 38.180650, -76.429650 (+38° 10′ 50.34″, -76° 25′ 46.74″).

**Restrooms will not be accessable until 7:30am.  Facilities are limited. 

***Parking is limited and carpooling is recommended.
