3rd Annual Veterans Day 5K & Fun Run...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

The 3rd Annual Veterans Day 5K/1 mile Walk, Run & Roll, sponsored by Southern Utah Veterans Home, takes place at the base of the Red Mountain in Ivins, UT near St. George. The 5K Fun Run starts and finishes at Southern Utah Veterans Home passing the fire station and Ivins City Park. This relatively flat course makes a loop around the north part of the city. The 1 mile race is designed for racers of all ages and abilities, led by our amazing Veterans being assisted by the Washington County JROTC Cadets. 

Come join us in raising money for the Santa Clara/Ivins Schools World Wide Warriors Service Initiative while walking, running or rolling a mile with our Veterans in celebration of Veterans Day!

Packet pick-up

Friday, November 11th at Southern Utah Veterans Home multipurpose room from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and from 7:30 - 9:00 am the day of the race.

Parking

Due to the race starting and finishing in Southern Utah Veterans Home parking lot, handicap only parking will be allowed in the parking lot that day. Please park along the roads around the Home.

Saturday, November 12th   Race Day:

• 7:30 am - 9:00 am  Packet Pick-up and Last Minute Registrations  
• 9:30 am Flag Raising by JROTC Cadets and "Star Spangled Banner"
• 9:45 am 1 mile Walk & Roll Begins
• 10:00 am 5K Race Begins
• 11:15 am Prizes and drawings awarded, presentation of fundraising check to JROTC
• 11:30 am Root Beer Floats sponsored by the Veterans Resident Council

What to Wear

Wear your race shirts and dress appropriately for the weather. Last year we had beautiful clear skies and sunshine. Morning temperatures that time of year are around 50 - 60 degrees.
