The DAV 5K at City Center at Oyster Point will take place Veterans Day Weekend (Sun., Nov. 13) and will include a run, walk, roll and motorcycle ride. The goal is to raise money for critical services DAV (Disabled American Veterans) provides to military veterans.
All veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard and ROTC or service academy cadets are eligible for exclusive benefits on race day, including free registration. For $15, veterans will receive a custom branch-of-service race shirt (if registered by Oct. 16), veteran thank-you bag and invitation to the post-party. Veterans may also participate in the DAV 5K using a wheelchair or handcycle.
Early-bird registration rates for the general public are available through midnight, Sept. 5, and include a race shirt, race bib and timing chip. Fees are $25 for adults and $15 for youth 6 - 17. The DAV 5K is open to individual runners, walkers and motorcycles as well as groups who wish to form a team.
